Menuju Pelaminan (The Road To Marriage) Presents a Fusion of Javanese and Minang Cultures in a Family Drama.
Menuju Pelaminan presents a love journey that not only unites two hearts, but also two families, two traditions, and two cultures. Produced by Rekam Film and in collaboration with PT Produksi Film Negara (Persero) (PFN) and international partners Little Green White (LGW), One Light Holdings from Singapore, and directed by @yuda.kurniawan, this film has entered the production stage since November 2024 with the beautiful setting of Yogyakarta and Padang. Elevating Javanese and Minang cultures, the movie is packaged in a light drama with a touch of fresh and touching situation comedy.
As one of the selected projects in the Pitching Forum of Indonesia Film Financing (IFF), Menuju Pelaminan is part of PFN's commitment in supporting local filmmakers and strengthening the national film ecosystem. This movie is considered to have a strong cultural appeal and broad market potential. PFN is committed to presenting works that are not only cinematically qualified, but also have social and economic impacts. “Menuju Pelaminan is not just a movie about marriage, but also about the journey of two families in understanding differences and building togetherness. We believe this movie will be part of the revival of the Indonesian film industry,” said Dirana Sofiah, Project Leader of Indonesia Film Financing PFN.
